I hope you all enjoyed the invasion! A couple of bugs, but those were quickly ironed out thanks to a couple of veteran players. Thanks again for bringing them to my attention!

I'm looking to build upon any feedback you guys may have, thus improving upon future invasions and making upcoming events even more enjoyable!

This last invasion was awesome, although it ate up loads of speed :D . I would love to see a system where 2 or 3 days every month or 2 we got a random invasion. Seeing a return of the incendites would be great! Good work on this last on though, it seemed to go smooth and I enjoyed it a lot.

A great invasion, been waiting a long time for the return of the Zaahar.

The only faults I would pick are that the mage shield upgrade was a bit miserly.

Zaahar Shadow Shield

And while mages got a good slottable that could be used in 4 slots (you can equip 3 amulets)

However if I view this as an invasion for mages, then my grievances mostly disappear!

yeah, but it is an awesome armor slottable, and it is an alternative to the chaos, and that umm dev gem i think, shiiiiiiiii time to recylce the beer

Well, call me greedy, but I don't like invasions where there is too much available. I had to fight and buy the first time around to get the orb staff, shield, and slottables I wanted. For a long time, that orb staff gave me an advantage with the mana surge over others without, just like the insect armour gives a huge AC bonus to those that have it right now (and need AC).

This time, I saw the requisite mope moaning over missing the invasion because they didn't log on during the week, but guess what? He can still kill a number of invaders, because the rest of us are so glutted with flamelord gems and shadow shields it isn't funny.

I liked the invasions the best where you needed a number of drops to make an item, or some other choke, like the incend dark poisons before you could kill something. This one was too easy. I remember the first time the Zaahars came out- we had a roving band of culties capturing the monsters, and then myself and a warrior or two would kill them on the CS, mostly because I was killed or ran out of MP repeatedly. Two years later, or however long it has been, I do 330% of the damage, with 1005% of the MP, and so much more wisdom that my share of 50 million HP was half of my MP bar, and maybe 1/30th of my AP bar.

So, I'd like to see it more challenging in terms of HP on the critters, or have the things more difficult to make, maybe lower spawns, whatever so that ourselves, our miner alts, and the guy that washes the dishes aren't all wearing flamelord gems. Then, power wise, the items should be sufficiently powerful that they aren't superceded by another thing for a year or so, unlike what happened with the mantamulet.

Many people in the thread are asking for insect invasion, which proves the point- Nothing has come out better than the poo sticks and armour, and there wasn't enough to go around initially, so people will be excited if they come back. Then, all you have to add is some bigger creature yet, which drops something to make bigger armour and poo stick still, for those of use who already have from the first go around.

Agreed. Whole-heartedly.
The Shadow Shield; 15 Defence, 50 MP, and 1 Wisdom higher than the Deflector? ... 1 Wisdom???!!! It's so pointless that I haven't even switched to the new shield. I just can't be bothered unequipping my Deflector and putting on the Shadow Shield, and changing all my sets around, for just 1 Wisdom more. Naff, truly naff. I felt like it was a bit of a waste of time to use that much AP for something so worthless.

Now the two new slottables are quite funky. Nice stats. In fact, the stats on the new Magey Shield-Slottable are better than the stats on the new Shield itself! Good work on them, methinks!

I agree with Pyro in that
- the shield upgrade was minimal
- there are VERY FEW slottables for Ammies (and WAY TOO MANY for shields and weapons) so its a shame the two sets of gems didnt effectively match
BUT - on the upside - those Ammy slottables represent a MAJOR (and most welcome) boost for mages

also - the Shield Slottables, whilst being a tad nastier on primary stats than Flamelord - lose a lot of side stats and skills.

like with Yvew Seals - the slottables don't show (although the stats are correct) and so all items sort to the front
Actually id like this to happen with ALL slottables - but have the name included as well of course as it would make equipping an unequipping easier as i think most peeps now use slotted items. be nice to have all slotted items at the front

Having considered all the above, i think that we should always be having to trade off stats against skills.

Have some big powerful items with no skills and some small items with the skills.

example, dajsa iolite and infinite, the only way to get dl +++ and elite but i wear them because that is how i build my character.

So...... new skills on a weapon that is massively under powered - brilliant, the way it should be.

As to Uriah's comments, for most of us it was challenging from an ap and MP standpoint. Yer just whopping Huge Man!


Also I liked the way we did better when we teamed with other players.

somehow , i didnt really benefit from the invasion...i only use one set of gear and none of the zahaar stuff makes a dent in the set i wear every day , so i have to say i didnt participate fully in this invasion , aside from the comraderie aspect , but then again , thats one of the things i like about the game

so i cast my vote in favor of invasions , even if they dont drop huge and huger rewards , because they promote logging in and playing or at least watching

p.s.(for cow eyes only) i would like to see more options on visible items(armor,shield,boots?,hats?changes in color schemes?) , i like to look good out there :)

The Z invasion was fun. However it was very outdated. New items with new skills should have been introduced.
