per BW's point on leveling wisdom
http://forum.gothador.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=54207&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=aIF your goal is to not have the base mana to back up your wisdom level this is optimal, since that is what you posted your suggestion on i have no qualms with saying yes, it does the job that you intend it to do.
However I have always and will always disagree with simply increasing wisdom with stagnant character leveling, over the long haul your damage will be better, but Level will be less than lack-luster.
given the choice between spending 100,000 ap for the following
gain:
600 Base wisdom
100 Levels
(166 aps per wisdom)
(1000 aps per level)
560 base wisdom
31,700 Levels
(178 aps per wisdom)
(3.17 aps per level)
which would you take?
The preceding assumes a creature that is predicated on:
Molten Mana Beam versus
Aeon Vial(please note the much larger damage, and therefore levels achieved with the aeon)
blaqmath's scheme dictates 6 wisdom per 1000 aps
1 kill = 1 level
1 Kill takes 1000 aps with 98 % resistance (circa 179,200 hp)
1 Kill takes 3.17 aps with 2% resistance
7 % loss in wisdom due to resistances, locates, teleports and overcharge
While I understand that such a creature probably does not exist in the same manner in which I have made the variables (bear in mind I've simply assumed a same creature hunting program with 2 different methodologies, vial, spell used max resistance versus min resistance
that notwithstanding, the fact (NUMERIC PROOF) remains that over the course of 100,000 aps used if you distribute your points and use the appropriate vial with ares, mystic, mage class bonus
mana beam method (100 levels)
+13,752 mana (or)
+262 defence
aeon (31718 levels)
+1,032,445 mana (or)
+66,609 defence
